Dale J. Hatherley graduated from the San Diego School of Law in May, 1977, and was admitted to practice law in the state of California on December 21, 1977.

Mr. Hatherley first practiced in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury law, and bankruptcy, but he soon began to focus on the practice of family law. In 1992, Mr. Hatherley became a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
